Summer is quickly coming to an end . Fall is just around the corner . All you trib guys & gals that are like me , that cann't wait for the run to start . I've got the itch so I know you all do to !!! So if you are looking to wet a line strip a fly or just get out ?? The run at the Salmon River has statred . Not in big numbers as of yet . But the Chinooks are statring to show up !! Not my cup of tea but it's the place to get a early start . They have started to stage here on the Western Basin of Lake Ontario . Like last week report they should be some Chinooks in the Lower Niagara River . I have not gotton any reports of anyone getting them , but there should be some fish in the Devil's Hole area by now !! As we all know cooler temps , cold rain and the run will start . Lets all hope it's a eraly this year ?? Hoping all your gear is ready ?? MINE IS ~~~ GOOD FISHING ~~~~

Well summer is winding down . Fall is just around the corner ! They are still picking up alot of salmon & steelheads out in the lake . It's been a great year out there , if you owned a boat .

There are reports that off the piers in both Wilson & Olcott they are picking up browns , useing spoons and stickbaits . Also reported is that they are gotting some kings up at the Dam in Waterport on the Oak . It's hard to believe because it's very early !! But there maybe salmon in the lower Niagara River but not alot . So if you were to go to Devils Hole or the Whirlpool area you just might hook into one . When I use to fish that area hard this is the weekend I would have started . Not alot of fish but we hook one or two *** ~~~ GOOD FISHING ~~~

Well Its August !!! It has been along hot late spring and summer here in western NY . But on the up swing , fall just around the corner !! Lake Ontario just flipped big time it is 46 degrees . This is the time of the year when the chinooks will be staging for the fall run . They well be putting on the feed bag as they say . I know we are all hoping for a early run ?? But as we all know that has not happened in many years . But if it does I will let you all know !!!

So this is that time of year to get all your fall gear ready . Stay tuned they are COMING ~~~~

There is something all you trib guys & gals might what to check out !! It's a new group that starting up . It's called the Lake Ontario Tributary Anglers Council or LOTAC for short. This group is all about the fall & spring run on the Lake Ontario tribs . They are hoping to get a say so in the fall & spring run on the tribs !! Which as of now there is NONE*** So if you are one of those anglers that fish the Lake Ontario Tribs , check it out . They are all about all the tribs from the western to the eastern end of Lake Ontario .
